KM's hay, WOW

WOW. I'm a believer.

This stuff smells wonderful! I got 1/2 timothy and 1/2 orchard. Its the greenest, cleanest hay I've seen, ever!

I am keeping it in my utility room, where it is nice and cool, and it smells lovely in there now, almost like a tea smell. And the pigs, well, forgeddaboudit.

Thanks Linda!!!

Since I've tried KM, I haven't turned back! It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks it smells like tea!

I would love to try it but living in the east, the shipping is crazy!

Re: KM's hay, WOW

When I lived on the east coast I thought the shipping was too high also. I had great luck with sweet meadow farm's hay, my piggies especially loved the meadow hay.

Now that I'm in the midwest, shipping is much less.

We have a Pet Supplies Plus right down the street that carries Sweet Meadow. I get the pellets there. I get my hay from a farm stand about 10 minutes away. A bale is only $7 and the hay is awesome! Nice a soft and green! I lucked out!

I live in the east too and shipping IS crazy, BUT it is A LOT cheaper than buying from the petstore. I pay about $60 for 45 lbs of orchard grass. I am looking into getting bales from a feed store, but there aren't many in my area, so KM's is really the next best thing.

Re: KM's hay, WOW

Yup, the shipping to CT is crazy. I was ordering from Sweet Meadow and it's a nice hay with much more reasonable shipping to us in the Northeast. But I ordered KM just to see what the fuss was all about and my pigs made the decision for me. They loved Sweet Meadow, but they went bananas for the bluegrass! I would love to try some local hay but I just don't have the room for a whole bale right now. (I order 9lbs at a time)So I guess I have to suck it up

My girls love bluegrass but I'm curious to try some other kinds as well. Maybe by the time I have to order again she will be back in stock with some of the other kinds that she was out of. And you're right! It does kind of smell like tea in my office! And when I fluff the hay up in the hay rack it must make the smell waft through the air because my girls start popcorning every time I do that. Even Ethel who isn't a popcorner
