Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
I bought a bunch of third cut from KM awhile back and need to order more. She is out of the 3rd cut. How is the 2nd cut these days? Are there a lot of really stiff pieces in there? 3rd cut was nice and soft and was easy to suck up in the mini shop vac I have. Just wondering if KM 2nd cut will be a different story. I have access to Oxbow and Sweet Meadow too if those are comparable. Thank you! Golden |

I can't speak to the 2nd cut, but I bought the bluegrass hay from her recently, and I can't tell it apart from the 3rd cut timothy we ordered before. It's very soft and pliable. Nice stuff. |

I bought KM 2nd cut and 3rd cut a couple of months ago. We just mixed it all up in a big carboard box and our pigs go nuts when someone reaches into the box to pull some out. Compared to the store-bought hay we used to buy, KM is great and doesn't have as much of the stiff straw. However, there is still some letftovers that our pigs won't eat. I think next time I'll try to order just the 3rd cut because they seem to like that the best. |
