Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I give my piggies lettuce every day. Usually round, curly endive and little gem lettuce. They love it but it always seems to upset their stomachs a little. (Their poops get wetter and smelly) It is well washed and dried as are all their vegetables but none of the others seem to bother them. As well as lettuce they have bell peppers and one small carrot each daily. I also feed green beans, cucumber and cherry tomatoes every other day. Would it be ok to alternate the lettuce too or do they need this daily? Is there anything I could replace it with some days? |

They need leafy greens daily... you could see if other lettuces make a difference (green leaf, boston, romaine). I would add in some cilantro too and a few other daily veggies (zucchini comes to mind). |

How much of the lettuces are you feeding? If you are giving too much lettuce, it can cause softer poo. Maybe cut back on the lettuce portions a bit for a couple of days and increase the hay and see if that helps. |
