Re: How much food do you give to your piggies?

i-love-nev; is it possible for you to feed twice a day in 1/8 cup portions? I have found that Smudge does not eat them as fast when he gets pellets twice a day.

Re: How much food do you give to your piggies?

Mine eat those 1/4 by themselves. They have almost a full bowl of pellets, and they eat in in 3 days. Hay is fresh every day, and plenty.
They loooooove veggies, and I had to compromise somehow, because they yell after mommy very often for veggies (as I am a rodent too for carrots, biscuits, apples, you name it, I am always munching like my boys). So every time they hear the fridge or some random bag, or lately even the knife chopping smth, they go crazy. So I feed veggies 4x/day, but in smaller ammounts (at 7 am, one at about 12, then 5-6 pm, and 9-10 pm).
I know it seems like they are always eating, but they are not haha. The rest of their time they spend a little sleeping, and afterward just popcorning, and running around to make sure all shavings are out from the lower deck for mommy to clean it. A pleasure to be their slave!
