Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 We are having corn on the cob for dinner today and I want to save all of the husks and silk for my girls. Should I seal it in a ziploc? Put it in the fridge? Or leave it out? Anyone know? |

I know some people dry theirs, but I like to leave mine fresh. They last for a few days the way I do it. I rinse them all thoroughly first (though they may last longer if they remain dry) to get all the dirt off and throw away the brown silk and outer husks. Then I dry them well with towels, before putting them in a large ziploc in the fridge. Works for me! |

I throw out the dry outside husks and save the silks and inside husks in a zip lock bag. They last quite a few days like that. |

I also do that,I just save it in a zip lock. It doesn't last that long in my house, my pigs eat it like they have never seen food before! Lol |
