Raddishes & Tops

Would one small raddish between three pigs be too much? And can the leafy tops be fed? Would it be the same portion as the actual raddish [rarely]?

Thanks!

Re: Raddishes & Tops

I cut up one radish for my three pigs the other night - they each tried it. I find it hard, with 3, to make sure they get an equal amount. I think radishes are listed on the 1-2Xs a month, so they won't have another for awhile. I'm not sure about the tops - I wouldn't think that would count.

Well, it looks like they didn't care for the raddish...Good thing my dad eats them, LOL! Still curious about the tops though, hmm.

They can have the tops. They could be fed probably a bit more often than actual radishes. About once every couple of weeks.

Mine tried raddish for the first time last night and they didn't like it They're not big fan of courgettes either, it was the only 2 veggies they didn't eat. Picky piggies!

It's not surprising that you guys are saying your pigs don't like radishes. Some are a bit hotter than others. Most pigs don't like spicier veggies.

Re: Raddishes & Tops

Only one of my girls likes radishes. I didn't know about the leaves though. I will try that this weekend. They probably won't eat it until about the 3rd time it's given to them.
