I put my sows exclusively on Oxbow Cavy Cuisine in early January, a definite upgrade from the junk they were eating before (Kaytee plain pellets, I think). Just the other day I noticed there were fewer, almost non-existent, calcium spots on their bedding. I'm really happy with the switch (I'm sure they are too!)

Re: Anyone else notice this? (Oxbow) Thats awesome, congrats! I have had my 3 sows on Oxbow Cavy Cuisine for a while now, so I guess if they ever had any calcium spots, they're gone now! I've basically noticed that their skin/coat is so much better, and they always completely finish the bowl of pellets (1/8 cup per cavy), which they never used to do with Kaytee Rainbow Exact-ly junk food( ). They probably lick the dust out of the bowl too for all I know!

Re: Anyone else notice this? (Oxbow) We fed our boys Kaytee Timothy Complete when we first got them, until I read that Kaytee puts ethoxycin as preservative in their pet foods, which can be a carcenogen. Then we started to get Oxbow. My husband and I both noticed the Cavy Cuisine and timothy hay both have a better, fresher smell than Kaytee's products, and I feel much better giving my guys food that's healthier. As a side note, once we ran out of Cavy Cuisine, and got Kaytee because we were short of money that week. Our pigs hardlytouched the stuff! We ended up having to get Oxbow pellets before thay even finshed the otherkind, the spoiled brats! ![]()

Re: Anyone else notice this? (Oxbow) Yeah, after reading enough posts on here I decided to switch to Oxbow. So glad I did! They look healthier, smell better, etc.
