Really hates artichoke We're always looking for different things to feed our piggies. Last night we tried artichoke, green beans, blue berries, and of course green leaf lettuce. They both went through all the lettuce first like they always do but then Emma came up to the artichoke, sniffed it once and ran away. Eve nibbled it a little but just left it, Emma kept coming up and smelling it and running away and eventually just gave up on all the veggies. This is the only thing I've seen either of them do that to. There have been lot of stuff they didn't touch but nothing the seemed to be afraid of. Weird.

Re: Really hates artichoke My Teddy didn't like broccoli at first. When I gave it to her she stood on it and peed. I kept every once and a while giving it to her. She now eats it on occasion.

Re: Really hates artichoke Some of my boys are that way with strawberries and green onion tops. They definitely have their own tastes.

Re: Really hates artichoke These aren't veggies, but I tried giving my 3 girls those timothy hay pellets that are sold in pet stores(all they are is timothy hay) and they pee on them every time practically. If I put a bunch of those in a litter box, maybe they'd litter train quicker !Wow, I'll have to try artichokes now. I have to admit that when I order them as a topping on pizza (I think those are the "hearts"), they do look kinda scary. Green, squishy, shriveled a little, and they taste unique, flavorful for a veggie. I put a broccoli floret in front of my Shih Tzu puppy intending that she might eat it, and she sniffed it very throughly, and played with it a bit. I broke off a tiny piece of the head and got it into her mouth, whereupon she moved it around like it tasted quite odd, and spit it out. My rats love broccoli though! My cavies love parsley(curly or italian), baby carrots, apple, 1/3 of them like oranges, kale, mustard greens, cherry/grape tomatoes, etc. Maybe I helped someone, . Good luck! ^_^

Re: Really hates artichoke Our girls don't like those timothy hay cubes either. they like cilantro, parsley, peppers, kale, carrots, apples, and I've only seen Eve eat blueberries. Neither of them eat grape tomatoes, raspberries, or yellow squash.
