Last year I planted some "round carrots" I got from PP and I cut the top of of them fed them to the piggys (and the carrot greens!) and I ate the carrots myself. I heard the tops were better then the carrot "body" (or whatever you want to call it ) because the whole carrot carrys more sugar! Hope this helps!

Re: Carrot tops .

Nev, you've been hearing a lot of things but the things you've been hearing aren't necessarily true.

Carrot tops contain much more calcium than the carrot themselves. They can be fed but only a couple times per week in limited amounts. Pigs can have 1 small/medium sized baby carrot or equivalent of regular carrot per day. A baby carrot does not contain very much sugar. Rather they are high in vitamin A and oxalic acid. They are more of a treat type veggie.

Re: Carrot tops .

What is your point nev? You made two quotes that are totally different and left no reply with the quotes. If you are trying to prove some type of point maybe you should state what it is. Calcium and sugar are two completely different things.
