Whooooop found local Oxbow...switching, but questions???

Wooo I found some local Oxbow pellets and hay, well local being a relative term...its just over an hour away And so I am going to be switching form Mazuri 5664 to the Oxbow Cavy Cuisine. Right now I have almost 2, 1 gallon freezer bags of my Mazuri left, one in the deep freeze and one I just opened and am using. The thing is should I get the Oxbow right away after "looseing" or "droping" the remainder of the Mazuri or should I keep some Mazuri to mix with the new? Anyone have probs getting their pigs to eat Oxbow. Also I am thinking of maybe keep feeding the Mazuri and Oxbow both, I was thinking about mixing them so it'd be half Mazuri and half Oxbow, they'd still only get 1/8 cup each of the mix. they'd be getting 1/16 th of a cup of Oxbow and 1/16 th of a cup of Mazuri 5664 would this be okay? I was thinking of doing it to save money becuase I get the Mazuri 5664 super cheap and close but the Oxbow is over an hour away and after how ever much it costs (I was so excited I forgot to ask ) but I have a feeling it'll be alot because its from a vet office, plus gas money it'll be getting pretty costly. Would mixing them be okay? I'm pretty sure it would be I just though I'd ask.

This could have been kept in the same thread you started previously.

Oxbow has instructions on mixing the previous pellets with the new pellets. Start off with 3/4 of the old stuff w/ 1/4 of the old stuff. Then 50/50, then 25/75, then 100% oxbow over a period of one month.

That would be fine.

As a side note- Jenni didnt start any other threads about this but rather replied to a thread where someone asked where they could find locally.
