Lettuce heads Approximately for and average sized head of romaine lettuce, how many cups (or handfuls) can you get out of it? I am redoing my guinea pig menus, and lately we have been using already cut up lettuce, but I am thinking of going back for full lettuce heads. Thanks in advance!

Re: Lettuce heads Good question although hard for me to answer personally as I dont really cut up their lettuce so I am not sure how I would measure cups or handfuls. Basically I get about 3 days out of 1 cos/romaine lettuce and thats if I am lucky giving between 4 and 8 leaves twice a day. I have 4 pigs.

Re: Lettuce heads I have three pigs and they get 2-4 leaves a day per pig depending on the size of the leaves left (2 if they are large leaves and 4 if they are small) and it last me about 4 days, 5 sometimes though.
