| Re: Which Hay? Sometimes it helps to do a forum search before asking the question because many of the same questions have been asked over and over and over again.
I have tried both oxbow and Km's hays and both are good quality. It's personal preference. I think KM has better hay but that's my personal opinion. It depends on where you live and which shipping is cheaper for you and what your own pigs like. The type is personal choice as well. As long as it's grass hay, it's good (alfalfa can be a supplement to cavies under 6 months or to pregnant/nursing sows and as a very occasional treat to pigs over 6 months). My girls love KM's bluegrass over any other type of hay but will eat any kind of hay I give them. My girls have had KM's 2nd and 3rd cut timothy, bluegrass, local grown bermuda, and oxbow botanical hay. |
