Avocados

I couldn't find an answer here. Can pigs eat avocado? I can get them for free right off the trees. I know they are really healthy for humans but I wasn't sure about piggies.

Re: Avocados

Avacado is in the do not feed section of that chart, its in the 2nd post, last bullet point in the "To avoid the vet- do not feed" section. So no.

Re: Avocados

Avocados are too high in fats and oils. They are on the do not feed list.

What if your piggy is malnourished & needs to put on a few ounces? Would little bits every week help?

Not really. It's best to avoid avocados and if you need to supplement a too skinny pig then see about getting some Critical Care (a herbivore supplement) and feeding your pig a bit of that on a daily basis.
