Question What About Squash?

Since this is Fall, there's a lot of squash in the produce section of stores, now, both whole and cut up. Since I'm always on the lookout for treats for my boys, I was wondering if squash (any kind) is a good or bad veggie to give? If someone else has already made a post about this subject, I apologize.

Re: What About Squash?

Please see the nutrition charts. It's a sticky at the top of this forum. Squash can be fed.

Yes they can, they can have squash 2-4 times a week. Here is a link to Ly's amazing diet and nutrition chart it will help you a lot if you haven't already seen it.

Re: What About Squash?

Good luck, so far my 2 girls will have nothing to do with summer squash or zuchini. I will still try to offer it from time to time in case their tastes change. They are still less than 1 year old.

Re: What About Squash?

My pigs won't eat squash either. Occasionally, I can trick them with zucchini, but never yellow summer squash. Dad cut up a few slices for them and put it in the salad when I went to the beach, and I found them dried and shriveled under the hay pile.

Re: What About Squash?

My pigs love squash like speghetti, acorn, butternut/buttercup, yellow and a few others.
