Question Indoor Veggies

How can I have growings of veggies indoor? Can veggies grow noramlly? My piggies love veggies and I hate it when I run out of veggies. If I had them in home there would be no problem and so much money to spend =) Can veggies grow normal indoors?

Re: Indoor Veggies

You can grow vegetables and herbs indoors. There's a product called "The Aerogrow" It's a form of hydroponics. Go visit their website at Home Of The AeroGarden From AeroGrow International ::: 1-800-GROW-NOW. ther phone number is 1-800-476-9669. My husband grows herbs in our small greenhouse except this year he didn't. However he purchased an Aerogrow garden. It's like having a green house in your home. It's small enough to put on your kitchen counter and it works through use of water and controlled lighting. We purchased ours for about 150.00 dollars but overtime, saved money when compared to purchasing herbs and veggies in the store several times a week. My piggies got purely fresh, unadulterated herbs having no pestisides or harmful chemicals as they are not needed when your growing them with this hydroponic garden. I love it. Next spring I'll also be growing fresh lettuce, peppers and other piggy foods out on my front porch. The company is AeroGrow International, Inc. located in Boulder Co.

Re: Indoor Veggies

Wheat grass is very easy to grow indoors during the winter and I know my pigs love it. You can also grow tomatoes pretty easy indoors. Many veggies can be grown indoors but space is often an issue so for me Wheat Grass is what I do as well as tomatoes in a large tub. In fact here are some links about them:

Indoor Tomatoes (3 Plants) - V13880

Real Food Winter Tomatoes

And here is a link to information about growing indoor veggies of different types that do not take up to much space (lots of goodies our piggies eat):

Vegetable Gardening in Containers

Hope this helps.

Re: Indoor Veggies

Sometimes it's good to do a forum search before you ask questions. Many questions have been asked over and over. I'm not saying for members to not ask questions but to do a search before they ask because if it's been asked multiple times then you can get the answers from older threads.

The forum search feature is located in the upper right hand corner of every page. Then each subforum has it's own search called "search this forum" located at the head of each forum.
