Mazuri I have looked at ordering pellets and hay off of Oxbow, but shipping costs about as much as the products do. Therefore, I don't think ordering the product would be a wonderful decision since I am on a tight budget.Today I was at Petsmart, looking at the gp foods, and I found a new kind, Mazuri. The label said "Free of seeds, and artificial coloring or flavors." I was wondering if anyone has used this before, and if it is a good buy. Thanks!

Re: Mazuri Actually Mazuri is number 3 in line for best pellet. I believe it's the Mazurri 5664 but sense its alfafa based it has to be limited greatly if you have adults.

| Re: Mazuri I believe that Mazuri 5664 is the only pellet allowable out of all the Mazuri brands available. Oxbow is often sold in stores too, use the Oxbow Pet Products | International to try and locate a store near you that stocks Oxbow |

Re: Mazuri Limited quantities means no more than 1/8 cup per pig per day because it's alfalfa based.

Re: Mazuri Kleenmama's Oxbow Mazuri Those are the top three brands in the US and the only brands that are really suitable. Anything else is pretty much garbage.

Re: Mazuri For hay, I feed Kleenmama's and it is awesome. I hear alot of people like Oxbow's too. You can look at feedstores and local farmers for a high quality, horse quality, grass hay. These are all cheaper that store boght hays and they should be better quality.

Re: Mazuri I use Mazuri. I buy a 40 lb bag and it lasts me months and months and months. I usually just freeze 20 lbs of it and use the other 20 lbs to begin with. But this also means that I don't give them as much as people with Timothy based pellets give. As Ly said only 1/8 cup per pig. I have a small scooper that helps me with that. And saying all that, I keep my pigs on a different diet veggy wise as they aren't getting as much Vit. C from their pellets. But thankfully it is very cheap where I am. About $12 for a 40 lb bag I believe? Excellent price. And the pigs like the veggie meals anyway.

Re: Mazuri I feed the Mazuri pellets as Oxbow and the shipping just cost to much to come to Az. My local feed store orders it for me. My piggies eat it ok. I supplement with timothy hay and veggies.
