| Hay deal to good to be true? After calling around I have found two places that sell a mixed grass hay between $2.50 and $3.50 a bale. One is a feed store the other an alpaca farm. This seems to good to be true as I was paying that for a small bag of Timothy at a pet store. The feed store said they might get timothy in later. At this price as long as this is suitable stuff even if I find timothy later I can just chuck it. |

| Re: Hay deal to good to be true? As long as it is actually grass hay, that's perfectly fine. Unless it's not good and fresh, you can use something like that exclusively or keep it and mix it up with the timothy. You might want to ask them what kinds of hay are in the "mixed grass hay". |
