Question Good Pellets in Ontario, Canada?

Hi there,
I'm new here. My name is Carol and in Sept. we're going to be getting a couple of guinea pigs. We're looking into building a 4x2 or a 5x3 double layer cage for them and I've been reading extensively on what the piggies need to keep them healthy and happy. We live in Ontario, Canada though and I can't find where I can buy Oxbow hays or pellets for them. I really want to buy a good quality food for them (still plan on feeding them raw veggies though), but I have no idea what's really good for them, what brand(s) to trust. I see Kaytee everywhere, is that reliable? Is there a REALLY good one that I can get for them up here?
Thanks so much for your time,
Carol

The pet valu brand is good, and the Martin brand at pet valu. But I prefer the pet valu brand, they are not as fluffy. Kaytee pellets are not good, and Nutriphase has a cancer causing ingredient in it. The kaytee timothy hay I use.

Here's a link to help you with choosing pellets: Guinea Lynx :: Pellets.
Also, some exotics vets carry Oxbow so you should try calling around. You can order online as well, and if you buy in bulk it is much cheaper than what is sold in stores.

Pet Valu, Martin's or Proform if you can't find Oxbow. Stay away from Kaytee feeds and Nutriphase as they contain preservatives that may cause cancer.

I just wanted to thank all of you so much for your replies! I really appreciate it. I really want what's best for the piggies when we get them.
