anyone tried freezing corn husks? I just discovered that my piggies LOVE corn husks. I see from the chart that they can be fed daily. My grocery store lets me take them for free, so I was wondering if I should grab a whole gigantic bunch of them and freeze them. Do they thaw well? Or would it be better to feed it fresh?

Re: anyone tried freezing corn husks? Veggies should be fed fresh with the exception of things like watermelon, canteloupe and honeydew rinds, which make a nice cool treat on really hot summer days. Maybe get enough for a week from your store and keep them in the refridgerator but keep them a bit moist as they will dry out. Then you can go back the next week and get more.

Re: anyone tried freezing corn husks? I know you can dry them. Hang them on a line, like you would dry a hot pepper. I don't know what it does to the nutrition but it would allow you to store them longer.

Re: anyone tried freezing corn husks? I don't think freezing corn husks would work out to well. They would probably be mushy when thawed.
