Re: cherries You can feed your GP sweet cherries 2-4x a week with the pit removed.

Re: cherries That would be 2 times per week not really 2-4 times per week as it is a fruit and rather sugary. Please remove the pit before feeding and each pig can have a couple cherries per feeding.

Sorry about that LY, I was going by the chart. Feeding cherries 1-2x per week would be better. I will make a note on my chart, thanks. |

Re: cherries Don't be sorry, you were just going by the info on the charts. The trick with the 2-4 times per week foods is to know what foods should be fed twice per week, what foods can be fed 3 times per week and which ones can be fed basically every other day. Not everything in the 2-4 category can be fed 4 times per week.

Re: cherries Thanks LY for clearing that up for me. So when it comes to feeding fruit, the higher the sugar content the less you feed that particular fruit?

Re: cherries Most all of the fruits should be fed about twice per week. There are some very low sugar fruits that are on the daily list but those should be fed sparingly. The higher the sugar content, the smaller the portions should be.
