Parts of the pepper to feed?

I searched before I posted this, can they eat the internal membrane part if i take out the seeds? or should I cut all of that out like I would for myself?

So far I have been cutting them clean, and then cutting it up, but my mom suggested that that portion may be ok?

I feed all but the seeds. Am certain the membrane is fine - my pigs love it! (not sure about stalk though - I don't feed that).

Re: Parts of the pepper to feed?

The membrane can be fed as long as all the seeds are removed. It's usually just easier to cut the center out and toss it. I wouldn't feed the stalk at all as it's pretty hard.

I would be very cautious with stems or leaves from anything in the solanaceae; I do not know whether the foliage of peppers is toxic, but certainly tomato and potato leaves are toxic.

Re: Parts of the pepper to feed?

I feed the entire pepper minus the seeds. My pigs adore the inner membrane part.
I have always given the stems as well, and they disappear from the basket before morning. I don't figure they are any harder than the apple tree limbs that my pigs adore?

I give all but the seeds, I sometimes feed the stem but I feel cautious about giving that so I almost always cut it out just to be sure. I do notice that if I put in the whole pepper and just scooped out the seeds that the stem is the first to go! (depending on the pepper).
