Question growing food

I like having small indoor plants by my window and since cavies need daily fresh veggies I was thinking that I could grow some of it (I'd still buy some form the store to give variety) What could I grow that would:
1) not become to large
2) not create a scent
3) easy to get seeds
4) and most importantly Cavy safe!

I am also growing lettace in my outdoor garder. None of it is iceburg so will that be safe to feed them?(I don't use chemicals)

Re: growing food

I would say one thing not to plant then would be cilantro, because ( I think at least) it smells terrible! I've often thought of growing food too, it would be much nicer than always buying at the grocery store.

Re: growing food

Lettuces, bell peppers, and herbs are all pretty easy to grow. I love the smell of cilantro, so I would probably plant that along with red or green leaf lettuce and some colored peppers.

As long as you're not using chemicals for fertilizer or pest control, then the lettuces you're already growing should be fine for your pigs.
