The yellow highlighting indicates everything wrong with these pellets. I would not use nor recommend these. hydropchloride- if this is hydrochloride it's not a good thing. Hydrochloride - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

| Re: Sweet Meadow Farm pellets Thanks Ly&pigs. I was going to try it as it is locally available & would be less expensive than having Oxbow shipped. You saved me the trouble of doing that. I'll stick to Oxbow pellets. My piggies love those & they smell so fresh when you scoop them out that my piggies get all excited. I will try the hay if it looks good. I wish I could find a source for aspen bedding locally. |

| Re: Sweet Meadow Farm pellets Thanks very much for the quick reply, Ly&pigs. I did look up the ingredient list for Oxbow Cavy Cuisine and saw a few of the same ingredients there; is there a page anywhere with the same sort of detailed information on good ingredients versus bad that the nutrition chart for vegetables has? I checked out the Guinea Lynx page on finding good pellets, and while it's got good basic stuff it doesn't say, for instance, whether one form of a mineral is better than another. |

| Re: Sweet Meadow Farm pellets We mods are working on a pellet analysis (as we have time) thread similar to the one at gl but a little more in depth. We are gathering the ingredients lists for many of the brands of pellets and will also be explaining what many of the bad ingredients are and why pellets should not contain these ingredients. It may be a few more weeks before we have this thread up. Quote:
