Grass?

Somewhere I saw a picture of a C&C cage (indoors) that had a little pot of grass in the middle where the piggies were eating it. Is it possible to grow it indoors? Is it okay for them to be able to eat all the time? Thanks!

Re: Grass?

I started a thread very similar on the same topic. It might help a little.

The kind that you can grow indoors is called cat grass, and guinea pigs can have it. At least, this website for a kind of cat grass says they can (as well as other pets.) If you have a sunny windowsill and water correctly, it should grow indoors.

Re: Grass?

I wouldn't leave the pot in the cage as they could spill it and make a huge mess of dirt and stuff all over. Why not just clip the grass and put it in the cage instead. Then the grass will continue to grow and the pigs won't be tempted to pull it up and eat the roots and all.
