Ooooh mine love cos! Problem is I dunno where nearest Lidl is.

Supa excel pellets are about the best you can get in the UK so they're fine. It may interest you to know that from reading the ingredients and analysis that Pets at Home nuggets are the same and cheaper!

You can actually order cavy cuisine online. It is the best you can get in the UK! Supa guinea excell is OK though.

Unfortunately buying from Pets at Home is contributing to the misery of all the guinea pigs bred in hideous conditions - to supply such a shop. The biggest in the UK - it is best to try and find your supplies elsewhere (online/vet/rescue/garden centre/pet shop) that DOESN'T sell animals if you feel strongly about the misery of breeding and it's conditions.

Well done on finding cos at Lidl - they often have sales, but even at full price, it's worth it - and infact, Lidls cos/romaine is great as the greenest, outer leaves are not removed. Cookie - try looking in the phonebook to see if there's a Lidl locally.

I know you can get oxbow in a few shops in the UK and order online but you have to remember that not everyone has a fantastic paypacket and so can afford it. I can't afford it regularly so I go with what I can afford that is still good.

Cavy Cuisine does not work out that much more expensive at all.

It does in some cases, when you can't get it first hand and have to buy it online. Cavy Cuisine costs £20 for 4kg for my pigs due to shipping.

I'm pretty lucky in that I can buy it in a garden centre 8 miles down the road!
