Cavy Performance is specially designed for young, pregnant, and nursing pigs. It's alfalfa based, and contains extra calcium and protein that some pigs, like pups, need to develop properly. It gives pregnant pigs the nutrients needed to give to their pups. Cavy Cuisine is for adult pigs, and is timothy based. You should feed Cavy Performance until the pig is about a year old, and then switch to Cavy Cuisine. |

Cavy Performance is alfalfa based and is good for young pigs 6 months and younger but can be fed up until the age of 1 year. Cavy Cuisine is timothy based and is for pigs 6 months or older. Alfalfa is a legume and is high in calcium. Too much calcium in a piggie's diet can cause bladder sludge (grit) or stones. |

Cavy Cusine is given to pigs that are 4 months and up I believe. It's made from timothy hay and is great for adult pigs. Cavy Performance is for young cavys and pregnate or nursing pigs. It is made from alfalfa so it helps them to get that needed extra calcium. |
