I see all these pictures of huge hay rooms, and I just but a small hand full in the cage. Should i put more in?

Re: Hay

Guinea pigs need unlimited hay which means lots and lots of it. Guineapigs love to play in it, eat it, and sometimes mess in it. So maybe you can have a hayrack and fill it with hay and then set a couple of handfuls somewhere else so they can play in it. Just make sure they always have some hay and yes probably you will need more then just a handful.

Definately. They need unlimited hay all the time. It helps aid in digestion and makes for a much healthier piggie plus it wears down their molars.

You can either use a hay rack, make a hay area or just toss huge piles of it in the cage for them to play in.

Re: Hay

Maybe a little more wouldn't hurt . My piggies have alot of hay in thier cage, but I think they enjoy messing and playing with it rather then eating it.
