Re: A poll of sorts+ I buy Oxbow but at my local feed store (Blue Seal), not online. This is a link to a poll asking where you buy hay. http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...hlight=poll%3A

Re: A poll of sorts+ Oh thank you! That saves a lot of time, doesn't it! I currently buy from a feed store (that sells oxbow in small bags which my pigs LOVE!). They also offer a larger bag of hay that is special ordered for horse owners that they told me was a soft timothy. Thought of ordering from oxbow but the shipping charge was $20, a lot if I could buy it locally with as good results.

Re: A poll of sorts+ Generally when you buy oxbow locally you pay more than if you spent the shipping. Someone had to pay for the shipping and that someone usually wants to make a profit as well making hay from stores even more expensive than online. If you can find locally cut hay that would be cheaper but I find it hard to believe buying a box or bag of oxbow locally is cheaper. I order at least one 50lb box online and save tons compared to buying small bags of oxbow locally. It's less than $1/lb when I order a large box online.
