Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

Has Kleenmama's gotten any timothy pellets yet? I can't figure out how to check, when I click on the link that says pellets, no pellets, alfalfa or timothy show up.
Also does she ever have just plain timothy hay? I can't find any that isn't mixed with alfalfa or orchard grass.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

She still doesn't have any pellets. Darn! The Timothy pellets are what my piggies love most. She's trying her hardest to have them available again. Also, from the e-mail I got from her when I asked, her supply of Timothy hay is low because of the harvest season. It's just not abundant right now and she refuses to sell inferior products. Normally she has various types of hay available, including Timothy by itself. As soon as she has pellets and hay available, you will be able to see them on her website in the order area. Keep checking back on her website.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

Linda currently has 2nd cut timothy. The bluegrass is absolutely fabulous as well. It's my personal favorite. Looks like there is a possible end in sight to the pellet shortage.

Her bluegrass hay is my favorite as well. It's so soft and green. I have a new order coming in on the 11th. I can't wait and neither can the pigs.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

Yeah, I have to have Timothy Hay because my Mom is really allergic to all the other kinds of hay. My Feed store doesn't have any Timothy either so I am being forced to go buy 96 oz of Kaytee timothy hay for $9.99 (and I go through it in one week). Argh!
I guess then I will go buy some pellets from Oxbow. is Oxbow's Timothy Hay good too?

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

Oxbow is very good. Their hay tends to be shorter strands than KM, but still very acceptable.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

I use the Oxbow Western Timothy and I feel it is great. The only thing is, it seems like lately from the feed store where I get my Oxbow hay from, it has been brown. I think it has been because Timothy hay is not in season right now. I have been using Oxbow Orchard and my pigs love it just as much as the Timothy.

Yey! My next batch of pellets gets to be KMs again! I just got a box of bluegrass today and it looks great as always. I love her stuff.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

I ordered a small amount of pellets from Oxbow just to tide me over until KMs is ready again. I've never had Oxbow pellets before, so hopefully my little piggies will like them well enough. They LOVE their KM Timothy pellets!

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

I'm using Oxbow Cavy Cuisine right now as well. Looks like the new pellets will be in right after my birthday. There is a very large chance that I'll be ordering a 50lb bag. 3littlepigs, who also lives in Richmond, has indicated that she'll want to split them up with me.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

That's great you can order a larger quantity at a time and share. It makes the shipping a lot more reasonable.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

We just figured out a couple weeks ago that we're practically neighbors. And imabrdwaystar is also a Richmond forum member. Maybe a three way pellet split.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

That's great. As far as I know I'm the only New Mexico forum member. Would be nice to have someone close by to share. I have a bunch of hay that I could easily split with someone. I didn't have a clue what 25 pounds of hay looks like with it is "released" from the box. ha! Quite a surprise.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

I was pretty shocked the first time I unboxed a 25 lb box of hay as well. Definitely a lot more hay than I was anticipating.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets

I get 10 pounds of Oxbow Western Timothy and it fills up a huge carboard box, I can't imagine how much 25 lbs is.

Uh oh, I ordered 25 pounds of hay from Oxbow. How long to you think it will take 4 guinea pigs to eat it all?
