Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets Sorry about double posting, but I wanted to mention something about good quality hay and pellets. We had Piggie for quite awhile before I found this website. We fed him the petstore pellets, hay, etc. He also had problems with spurs on his front feet as well as rough foot pads. I found out from a knowledeable forum member that one of the causes of spurs is Vitamin C defficiency, so I started Piggie on Kleenmamma's pellets (loaded with Vitamin C) and her Timothy and Bluegrass hays. Piggie no longer has spurs and his foot pads are pink and healthy. We do not give extra Vitamin C supplements, just KMs pellets, veggies and good hay. This forum rocks!!!

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets It's posts like that that make me feel all warm and fuzzy! I had a similar experience with my adopted girls. They all had spurs when I first got them and I've had them for over a month and they haven't grown back yet! Their fur looks so much healthier too. They go crazy for KMs hay. They eat it more than my boys who grew up on it.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets I can't wait! Smores has spurs but I didn't know you could do anything about them, except cut them off with clippers. Have you guys ever noticed that different pigs have foot sizes? S'mores, who is an American, has all white feet and her feet are really tiny. While Holly, Midnight and Dexter all have large black and brown hairy feetsince they are Peruvuians. Speaking of feet, heh heh.

Re: Kleenmamas Hay and Pellets *pout* You all are lucky. All my abbys get spurs, no matter how much Vitamin C they get. And speaking of feet, I thought this was the funniest thing. I adopted Eddie in December and now with his new nutrition, his fur is growing a lot faster lately. I noticed while clipping his nails that he has long hair on his toes. ![]()
