Seedheads=harmful??

Well, the only place that I found to sell timothy was just up the road. It was filled with seedheads, and I had to pick each and every single one. Are they harmful??

Re: Seedheads=harmful??

Good question - hope not, because my piggies love them and when we do floor time I would offer them the seed heads to get them to come up to us to help tame them when we first got them.

Nope, not harmful at all. Tarzan loves them and eats them first.

Re: Seedheads=harmful??

Your On Vancouver Island right?

You should contact Pinta at GL, she lives in Vancouver and I know has #1 quality hay. She seems a little hay obsessed and knows a lot about it.

(Or, am i just loosing my mind??)

Added: Nope, I'm not, she could probably give you a good lead! I was concerned for a minute I confused her with Evangline who is in New Brunswick! Now that would be a blunder!

So, You are saying Pinta from Guinea Linx has top quality hay, and she lives in Vancouver? My gosh, I'd have to get her to ship it over to the island!

Re: Seedheads=harmful??

Seedheads are just fine. I only pick off the occasional one that's a bit prickly. My crew loves them. Percy chews the hay from the stem end, so he looks like a country boy with the seed head sticking out. The girls play with the seed heads. They look like they are giving each other makeovers with little brushes.

Re: Seedheads=harmful??

Haha that is so cute!! Well, I put all of the heads back in and he dragged them down to the first floor of hic cage, and he's playing around with them... It's so funny.

Just like a little kid. Playing with his food or a box instead of toys!

I think I might have been a bit misunderstood, that is my fault. She is not in the hay selling business like Km, just she might have some good leads for you!
