Where to buy hay in Oklahoma City area

Hello,
I need help! We recently moved to the Oklahoma City area and I can't find a petstore that sells Oxbow hay anywhere! Does anyone have any suggestions or other good hay products sold in my area? Any replies would help a ton!
Thank you

Try to find a feedstore and see if they sell bales of hay. Buying hay by the bale saves money in the long run and if properly stored, a bale of hay will last several months.

Re: Where to buy hay in Oklahoma City area

Ditto on what Ly said. None of the feed stores near me sell bales, so I order my hay online. Lately, the shipping has been less than driving to another town has been. If you want Oxbow hay, there is a store locator on their website http://www.oxbowhay.com. I don't know what the shipping from KM would be to Oklahoma, but her website is http://www.kmshayloft.com, and her hay is lovely. You can order directly from Oxbow, and they also have a link to other sites selling Oxbow products online.

Re: Where to buy hay in Oklahoma City area

Thanks everyone. I cannot store any extra large amount of hay right now. I haave been to oxbowhay.com and looked at the store locator and there seems to be nothing in Oklahoma. I will probably order it online but my parents just want me to buy it from Walmart or something.
Thanks again!

Re: Where to buy hay in Oklahoma City area

Is there a petsmart in your area or petvalu etc? My mother thought she was being helpful by stopping off at my home with some hay she got at walmart. It was timothy but my piggers, foster piggers and rabbit wouldnt touch the stuff. It didnt smell as good as the other stuff i get. Prob wont be worth it to get it at walmart if you have to end up tossing it as I had to.

Re: Where to buy hay in Oklahoma City area

For what you'd pay online or even at Walmart, you can afford to get a good bale from a feed store and throw away what you can't store-sad but true. Break off as much as you can keep, and then see what you have left. It would be fairly easy to keep in an open cardboard box, out of moisture.

Oklahoma has got to be covered up with good hay, it's a big horse state.
