how much do i feed????

i have two 6 week old piggies and they love veggies and fruit...how much should i be giving them per day?

1 cup per pig per day is the genral rule.

thats good cause i thought i was feeding them way too much. before i go to work in the morning i give about 1 cup then in the evening when i get home i give another so that would work out to be 1/2 a cup per serving per pig.

Make sure your giving them alfalfa and timothy hay as well.

That would be in unlimited amounts and they also need unlimited plain pellets.

I got some pellets from a store but oreo and raskal don't care for them at all. I monitered the level of it before I went to school and when I came home it was still the same. But all the Timothy Hay was gone so I know its nothing serious. Could it maybe be the brand that I got?. Also why exactly do they need unlimited amounts of plain pellets because I don't know what they do for a pig.

I think plain pellets help to wear the teeth down and provide certain nutrients which aren't available in hay and veggies. Try a different brand of plain pellets, like Oxbow (www.oxbowhay.com) or KMs (www.kmshayloft.com) as some may taste different to others.

i alwoays provide tons of timothy hay and pellets but like yours, they dont eat that much of them, but eat lots of veggies fruit and hay.

Just remember young piggies should be eating alfalfa. Make sure your pellets are alfalfa based.

I have a 9 month year old guinea pig and i feed her 1 tablespoon of pellets in the morning and another tablespoon of pellets at night. Am i feeding her to much or to little ?

9 months or 1 year and 9 months? Either way you can feed 1/8-1/4 cup of timothy based pellets per day. No more than that.

Yes, this is my schedule: morning: pellets and hay. Afternoon: refill hay night:refill hay and veggies.
