I tried to find some Ivermectin but there aren't any farm/feed stores where I am. Does anyone know where else I might be able to look? Thanks.

Check your local feed store. I beleive it's used for cattle so thats the best place to look.

Mealie: It's a treatment for mites.

I can't order any from my vet, but instead they said I would need to go in for a checkup. I don't think they'd believe me if I told them that I know how to dose. We just went to the vet very recently so there wouldn't be much point in spending $70 plus the cost of Ivermectin just to get it, do you think they'd give it to me without a checkup? If I told them I know how to dose and justified it?

I beleive if you could justify it then they'd let you, but I don't know your vet.

*sigh* they didn't let me just order it from them...they said I needed to get a checkup because it was prescription. I'll get a checkup if I can't find anywhere else, but I just had a question-it's cleared for human use for lice, isn't it? So do you think it might be in a drugstore or something? Or is it not a common medicine for human lice?

No, I don't think I have an Agway, I just checked on the Google Maps. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your help AnimalHouse. I would thank you if I could, but I'm still a Newbie. I guess I'll keep looking for something.

I'm trying online searches to find some websites that sell it but the closest I've come is a site for horses with 1.87% instead of 1% for piggies. Is it possible to dilute?

Would the Pour-on be okay? I only read about the 1% solution on guinea lynx but I read how to administrate it on the conversion table. I'll try to find out more.
