Animal Rescues in Windsor/Chatham Ontario area?

Does anyone know of any rescues that would have guinea pigs in the Windsor/Chatham ontario area?

Windsor/Essex Humane Society -- that's where I adopted Leeah in July. They had tons of piggies there when I went in July -- unfortunately, there's a 24 hour waiting period before you can take one home, but they are vet checked already. Just check the GENDER -- they didn't know whether Leeah was male or female ... good thing I knew!

I live in Ottawa so if your willing to drive a couple hours i have 2 full grown males that cannot be seperated that im willing to give you..The reason being is since i started working I simply have to many animals.=S i know its a bad excuse and yes cavies are 5 to even 7 year commitment butreally I've had them for over 4 years and they arent getting the attention they deserve.If you wanna give me a call im at 613 291 4463.No C&C cage available But if cannot build one ill get you the supplies while your down here

Id offer to come get them, but it is about an 8 hour drive and i dont think my parents would be willing to drive that far. And i found the windsor humane society and they get gps in some times so i might just get them there.

U know Bares not even 2 hours from Windor????????? just wondering since i;'d be driving 6 hours :P

Im not sure, but we drove to alliston for vacation and it took us like 3-4 hours. Even two hours though my parents wouldnt drive that far for guinea pigs. I dont even think my mom wants them. I am really sorry i couldnt have been more help, and i really hope you find someone to take care of them. Thanks for the offer though.

Jennz11, as a newcomer you may not have realised, but this is a rescue friendly forum and discussions about breeding and showing don't fit with the flavour of the board. There are plenty of other guinea pig message boards which will welcome discussions on either, so please visit one of those when you want to talk about those topics. Thanks!

then why is it called cavy cages? shouldnt it be like cavy rescue? if thats all we are supposed to talk about
