Kleenmama should be getting pellets again in the next few weeks. I emailed her, and while she cannot ship hay to Canada, she can ship pellets! Just thought I'd let you Canadians know. I have a hard time finding Oxbow locally, and as long as I am ordering pellets, they may as well be from KM. |

Hooray for KM's pellets! Yes, she does ship to Canada and the rates are very reasonable. It is way cheaper for me to order from her than to order oxbow pellets through Canadian Pet Connection. And my two pigs just love KM's freshly made pellets! |

Tcarey, did you order them recently? I got hit with a surprise extra $40 brokerage fee from UPS when I recieved mine. Totally not KM's fault at all, stupid UPS. If you haven't ordered them yet, see if you can get them just regular mail. The UPS guy told me regular post doesn't charge such ridiculous fees. It still worked out to about the same price as I've paid for Oxbow. Oh, and the guy from CPC told me that shipping is free on your first order from them, so I don't know if that would make them any cheaper. I might order some next time (or actually go there!) if I run out of pellets and can't get more KM. |

It was many months ago that I ordered them and I got the extra fee added as well, but I got 200 lbs at one time so the fee didn't add that much to the actual price per pound. It turned out to be just over a quarter the cost of what I've paid to have Oxbow shipped to me - around $1.15 per pound rather than $4 per pound. The bulk ordering really saves a lot of money. A bunch of us here in Alberta split the order and got a really good deal out of it. |

I want to order some but it's $22.00 for shipping to Canada. How nuts is that?!?!?! Not sure if I'll do it or not. |

Orkid - check out your overall price per pound - that will help you decide. When I do the math, it is totally worth it to pay for the shipping from KM, including the brokerage fees, and get pellets for $2 per pound from her, compared to almost $4 per pound from Oxbow. |

Hello Faye; I'm in the Edmonton area. I get my hay at the G&E Pharmacy in south Edmonton -it's a general feed and vet supply store. Sherwood Park is near that part of Edmonton, so your mom could stop in there and check it out for you. I haven't found any farms with timothy hay I can rely on here. Not sure when our next pellet order will be, but we order timothy-based pellets anyway. I don't think KM makes alfalfa pellets. You might want to stick with your current arrangements until your pig is a year old, and then order some timothy-based pellets from KM - she could ship them right to Ft. Mac, I'm sure. |

Just thought I should clarify that KM does make alfalfa pellets. Kleenmama's Hayloft :: Fortified Feeds |
