New from Montreal...

After reading up a bit, a guinea pig seems to be my best bet in terms of a pet...

First off, cost is an issue, and the C&C design seems adequate...

So i have two questions i guess...

1.) I live close to downtown but i have a car and dont mind driving, where would be a good place to get the materials to build the cage, as well as any other guinea pig supplies...the pet stores around me seem pretty empty...

2.) Also, i love the idea of adopting...where would be the best place to do that?

thanks in advance...

Re: New from Montreal...

Check walmart or home depot , there are alot of other place too , maybe you can go to the home page of this site and on the left hand side it says find materials (sorry im bad with links ) then click found mine at ... , there might be something there listed in your area.I got evey thing I needed from ottawa , sent by cargo . As for adopting , try searching on petfinder for your area ( I know im bad with links , if someone can help me out with this one it would be greatly appreciated).

Re: New from Montreal...

You could try Costco (A store that stocks stuff in HUGE amounts) for the cubes, and any renovation store for the Coroplast. I found both of these things at these stores in Montreal (or on the island, at least.)

Re: New from Montreal...

I found my cubes at Wal-Mart. You can find coroplast at art stores as well.

If there's no piggies listed near you on petfinder, call your local animal shelters or check their websites, they are bound to have a pair for you.
