Alright then I am building an alternate cage (mainly because I live in jeffersonville ,NY Pop. 200 and material is not easly found) and was wandering if I should make the sides out of chicken wire? At first I did'nt see a problem, but then I thought a pig might be able too chew right threw it. I'm not sure any suggestions?

Re: Chicken wire Chicken wire would work, though because its on the out side of the cage. Where are you going to get coro from? Do you have any shelters with guinea pigs near you?

Re: Chicken wire You could build a simple pine frame and tack 1/4" hardware cloth to it. I prefer the hardware cloth over chicken wire because it's a stronger material to work with.

This is REALLY off topic but, I watch the channel TLC a lot, and the name Jeffersonville sounded familiar. Just a guess, but is this: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/to...rsonville.html the same town? Sorry I was soo off topic.

Re: Chicken wire Yeah, don't allow their feet to get on the chicken wire. They might get bumbleffot, get a toenail ripped off, ect. Just put it where your pigs can't get it, and you should be okay!
