I found these cubes at BB&B and I was wondering if they're safe for my pigs - both are full grown adults, but is this unsafe? Bed Bath & Beyond - Stacking Cube Set with Bins - Black Thanks in advance. |

Oh, many people use those for their whole cage (usually they have the same ones in pink). Piggys can't really see their surroundings all that much, however. Maybe you could use them for the top level if you have one. Last edited by Kipsie; 09-26-09 at 09:38 am. Reason: Elaborating |

Yeah, I have seen people use them. I wouldn't use them if you put a top on it. I would be afraid there wouldn't be enough ventalation. |

Some people who have been using those plastic grids have been reporting their pigs chew on them. So for that reason, I would not recommend them. Safety is a major concern. Here are the metal ones that are much more suitable and they are only .99 cents more than the plastic ones. Bed Bath & Beyond - Silver Stacking Modular Storage Cube Set (Set of 4) |

Yes, I have the metal ones for my C&C cage. I do recommend them. |

I've used them for quarantine cage. I don't recommend them. The quarantined pig chewed on them. ETA: I mean I don't recommend the plastic grids. The new pig has been moved into the main cage that's made with metal grids. |
