Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 We're having an ant problem and have purchased this: Hot Shot at Lowe's: Ultra Liquid Ant Bait Is it safe to use around Lucky? I don't see anything written on fumes or anything. And by the way, she won't have access to it, it's in the same room though and will be around three feet away. |

If there are any type of fumes, you don't want to use it. I used to have a bad ant problem when I lived in the old place before I moved last year. I used an all natural remedy that was pretty effective, you have to keep doing it though. Take a small spray bottle, fill with water, add in a few drops of peppermint extract and a drop or two of dishsoap. Spray the area where the ants are. They detest peppermint. There are a lot of natural ant and roach remedies. Try searching google. |

We put down piles of cornmeal where we've seen them coming in the house. They bring it home to their colony, but they can't digest it. It worked for us in about 2 weeks. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I've heard from my grandfather that ants are very much repelled by used coffee grounds put outside along the foundation of the house, but have personally never tried it. Anyone else ever heard of this method? |
