Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
Product Information Error Page I have a 2x4 cage measuring 58'' x 29'' So would that shelf work? Or is it going to be too deep? I thought about just getting extra grids but it kind of seems like the shelving opens easier. Any ideas? |

I would think it would work. You'll probably need two though since it's only 16 inches wide. I'm sure you could zip tie them together. |

Yeah I just didn't know if it would be too much hang over since it will be 32 inches instead of 29. I guess really that's not much at all now that I am thinking about it haha Thanks for your reply though! |

You want the overhang so it can't drop down into the cage accidentally. Using shelving makes a much more rigid lid than zip-tied grids to be sure. |

I used 12 inch and 16 inch wide shelves for a total of 28 inches. There is a one inch gap between them that allows for opening movement. I just zip tied them together in a few places, which act like hinges. The "lip" on the shelving keeps it from sliding off the cage. |
