The cage I've got is a regular petstore cage. I put it in a run fit for rabbits and my guinea pigs just love the extra space! It's a lot safer and more spacey than their previous one, and it's completely safe for them. .. Just not for me! Or so I found out yesterday morning. I stepped inside the run to pick up one of my
cavy's (it's the only way I can reach them). I bend down to scoop one of them up.. and pricked my butt on one of the rods used to fasten a safety net on.
Yep, that hurt! (It's okay people, no serious injuries so you can all laugh at my expense!
)
It even bled a little. One thing I know for sure.. I'll be a lot more careful when I pick up my
cavy's!
