Acrylic Grids?

Would acrylic grids be safe? I am struggling to find grids in the UK at any decent price. thanks.
this will be an open top cage, so it's not like they'll never see daylight again.

no, they just look like plastic. can't see why they would be unsafe, I just want to double-check.

I dont know if there woud be enough ventelation. That is my only concern.
