Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
I hope I'm in the right place for this question: I thought I read on the forum somewhere here that a metal hanging hay holder for babies was unsafe. Is this true? And what else would I use. I was planning on using one like this (over a plastic tub for my boys to potty in hopefully). My babies will be coming home in a few days. They will be 3 weeks old. |

The issue with it is that a baby can squeeze/go through the grid holes. Were you making it out of grids or something with holes of the equivalent size? You could try using the half-inch doubled up grids or quarter inch (shown in pictures in the gallery): http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos...ry.php/cat/532 You can try giving it to them in paper bags with small holes for the hay to poke through. I do this for my boys. |
