Hay Racks?

Why does it say that hay racks are not recommended for baby and small cavies? How long can't they have a hay rack and what would you suggest as an alternative?

Re: Hay Racks?

Small guinea pigs can get their heads stuck in the squares of the hay rack. If you bought a pack of the MESH grids, then that could work...

Re: Hay Racks?

Babies can get their heads stuck in the openings. I use a suet bird feeder. Maybe you can try that. If you are willing to change you mind completly. Mine was less than $1.00.
