Question Are these grids safe??

I bought grids today for my first C+C Cage from Bed Bath & Beyond.

I thought they looked rather large when I opened them so I measured them.

They are 14.5" square.

I measured the holes and they were 1.5". Should I be concerned about my pig getting stuck?

Thank You for reading

Lightbulb Re: Are these grids safe??

If this helps, my pig is not pregnant, and is 4 years of age.

Re: Are these grids safe??

On the home page it says do not use grids with inner square spaces greater than 1.5 inches.

So I guess it is okay if your pigs can't get their heads through the bars.

Ya, he should be fine. Thats what the normal spacing for grids are.

Re: Are these grids safe??

Thank you to Jenni_Feathers and newpiggiemommy.

Your responses make me feel better because I know that he should be safe.

I didn't leave him in it overnight.

Thanks again

Exclamation Re: Are these grids safe??

No I have not built my cage.
Well sort of. I have only bought grids and I set the grids up and my pig is in them now.
I have been checking Coco and he has not been doing anything that seems alarming yet.
Is there any concerns that I should have?
If there is, what can I do to make it safer?
As I said previously, my pigger is not pregnant, and is 4 years old.

Re: Are these grids safe??

Yes steve_and_pigs, you are right he is.

the first thing he did, and i am not kidding, is he looked around for 3 seconds and did about 10 popcorns and did like 5 laps.

I was so happy, because he looked at me like "I L-O-V-E love this thing, it is so roomy and I can go nuts!"

Even my mom and dad agreed that he is noticeably happier and they can see why I was begging for a C+C Cage!
