where do you get the cover piece? I've been looking all through the website and the photos are soooooo much fun! But I can't seem to find what the covers are made from in the covered pictures. It looks like shelving but how does it come to fit your cage size??

Re: where do you get the cover piece? I just used regular cubes, but only attached them at one side. My door is two cubes wide, and the hay rack keeps it from falling into the cage.

Re: where do you get the cover piece? For a cage 2 grids deep (mine is a 2X6), buy 2 pieces of wire closet shelving 16" deep. They will cut it to length for you at the store (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.). Connect the two pieces in the middle with cable ties, so you can hinge it up from either side. Set it on top of your cage, and you have instant strong cage lid.

Re: where do you get the cover piece? My cover is made from the same mesh cubing I made the sides from (pic below for reference). I just sized them to fit and attached them with cable ties in the right places (leaving enough room to overlap). It's so easy and cable ties make for great hinges! And if you mess up, just cut the cable ties and try again! ![]()
