Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I saw the pictures in the photo album for Target kid grids/cubes. Has anyone purchased them recently? I have been looking in every Target store near me and cannot find them. Am I searching in Vain? |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Kid cubes? The ones with the small grid holes? I think they are a discontinued/clearance item. Good luck! |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Thank you for the tip about Linen's and Things. I went there today and got a pack of mesh cubes. http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1364301 I wanted a smaller cube/mesh to replace my girls current hay rack. They are rather fond of climbing into it and I was afraid of them hurting themselves, falling through the large grid holes. Here is their old hay rack. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Here is thier new hay rack installed. There is a coroplast divider in the middle to deter them from going all the way through it. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Neat idea!!! =) Do they just get the hay from the sides, then, or can it get through the little holes? |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Just from the sides. That's all they used to do anyway. They lie on their beds and graze. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Looks like that would cut down on the spillage out the back too. My hay rack is just a grid folded over and my girls eat from the side and through the grid. Cinnamon likes to climb into the rack to hang out. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 We just use tissue boxes as hay racks. But I'm always up for seeing someone's creativity in action. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 It looks like finely punched metal to me. The fabric ones would work, though, I think. =) |

Thank you for this link! My rabbits have taken to chewing off the plastic on the grids that I have. They are the standard white grids from target. I am going to rebuild my cage, but with the mesh instead. Although, is it hard to see them and visa versa? I don't want them to be stuck in the dark. Quote:

Are the grids coated in plastic or paint? I have the white grids from Costco and I think mine have paint. The person who first made a rabbit condo out of the cubes called the company (Fellowes) that made the Neat Idea Cubes, and they told her the paint is safe for rabbits. There are many knock-off brands of cubes, so I don't know if the same holds true for the other brands. Her website is http://princessblackie.homestead.com/ I don't think the visibility would be as good as with the regular grids. A condo made of kid cubes was donated to the shelter, but after a few months they got rid of it. Potential adopters could not really see the rabbit. I prefer the regular grids much better. Maybe you could make a pen enclosure with the wire mesh cubes instead of a condo. If your rabbits aren't into jumping you could make it two grids high, but if they are jumpers, you would have to make it at least three grids high. Quote:
