Guinea pigs keep jumping off ramp... I just installed a ramp to get to the second floor of their cage and they keep jumping off from the top. Any ideas of how I can stop this? Do they eventaully stop this? Should I put up a border? ![]()

Re: Guinea pigs keep jumping off ramp... My piggies did the same. You can make a border which would be the ideal solution. If there is no opportunity to jump then there will be no injuries. You can make a border by cutting some extra grids with wire cutters. Using cable ties, tie your cut grids to any spaces that you can see. If you click here go to accesories and there you will find upper deck ramps. Browse though some of the pictures and you will see some borders made with extra coroplast and grids. I would have liked to have posted the direct link but my computer doesn't like me today. http://www.cavycages.com/photos/index.php Goodluck with it and keep us updated.

Re: Guinea pigs keep jumping off ramp... You definately need either a high coroplast wall or a grid wall border. One of the pigs may break or injure a leg when jumping down from the loft. Safety should be the most important thing when building a C&C or any alternative type cage.
