Hi everyone! Just got back from vacation.. I bet no one realized I was gone! XD I had a great time, swam a LOT, played Donkey Kong inside and slept a lot too. ^^ I was happy most the time, but got a little down when I heard some news.
I called home to check on the piggers, and Peppy died.

He was old, about 5 and 1/2 years old and lived a good life with me I know. It's very sad though, I didn't cry because I was well prepared for that moment (I knew he was going to pass soon, he was getting slower and slower and older) and he was just himself as usual one morning and that afternoon my sisters found him passed on in the cage. Stripes is horrified, he's very lonely I can tell, so I'm going to try to pair him up with Chubby in a day or so. I don't know when I should. I'm just sad because before I left was the last time I would have seen him. He was a great pig and loved cuddle time. I'm going to miss him.
Okay, I'm going to cheer up. I think Peppy wouldn't want me to get depressed because he's in a better place now. I'm just going to miss him and always will...
My two cousins and I went down to the dock at about midnight just to go on a walk.. We were down there for about 10 minutes when we started to hear some scratching. I went over to the scratching and thought it was in the water, when this big black trunk starting to make a lot of noise. My cousins screamed and I looked at it, came closer, then something made a bigger noise. I screamed, ran away a couple feet. I was scared but then thought of how scared that animal must have been in that dark big trunk. I came to my senses and talked to my cousins. They weren't up for helping that animal out. I came to the trunk, and tried to pull on some pliers(yes, there were pliers in the hole where the lock should have been. Someone LOCKED this animal in there with pliers that were in there pretty hard) but they wouldn't budge. I pulled some more and they finally came up, then opened the lid a little bit and put a net handle in there to see if the animals claws/nose came up to see if we could tell what it was. I ran to get a flash light and when I came back my cousin Becky thought it was a cat. I looked at the claws (it was hanging now by the ledge that was held up from the handle) and they were big and thick. I immediately thought they were a possum, but then his head came up- it was a baby armadillo! I immediately threw open the lid and got out of the way. It climbed out slowly, then ran for the edge of the dock. It just waddled a little bit then fell in the water! I screamed and ran towards it with a net but 5 seconds later it swam a good 50 feet to the boat ramp. Armadillos are SO FAST in water! We followed it after a while (it went up the boat ramp fast too) and it ate some grass. I thought of calling animal control because it was just a baby, but we couldn't find a phone book or anything. After 1 hour of following him around, we left him grazing on the grass. We came really, really close to him and he didn't care at all.
I was SO OUTRAGED that someone would lock the trunk with an armadillo in there. If he fell in there and was scratching, you get the animal out and not just lock the poor thing in there. Gladly we got him out and he seemed happy, yet scared that we did.
My vacation was fun and exciting, and just wanted to share that! I'm back!
Sorry so long!
